Foam-Control is pleased to announce a new Foam-Control EPS Geofoam Technical Bulletin – Geofoam No. 5008 – Chemical Exposure.
Foam-Control EPS Geofoam is most commonly installed in direct contact with earth, concrete, or other benign materials. However, Foam-Control EPS Geofoam may encounter chemical exposure during its use. This most commonly occurs during construction or through exposure to contaminated site conditions.
Technical Bulletin Geofoam No. 5008 has been published to provide general guidance on the resistance of Foam-Control EPS Geofoam to some common chemicals. The bulletin does not guarantee long term performance when exposed to the listed or any other chemicals. When Foam-Control EPS may be subjected to a chemical that could cause damage, Foam-Control EPS Geofoam is required to be protected by an appropriate barrier material.
